I am a self-taught visual artist working in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and mixed media. My Environmental Science background informs every aspect of my work. For me there is no line between art and science. They each liberate and constrain with the same ferocity. I find my inspiration in the spaces in between. I have been living and working in Houston, Texas since 1996. My work is displayed in two public, and many private, collections in the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Amsterdam, and Taiwan. I am eternally grateful to my numerous collectors, dear friends and family for their continued support.
I draw inspiration from a variety of sources, including nature, sound, and the people and places I encounter in my daily life. My goal is to create art that evokes emotion and tells a story. I often use minerals, metals and semi-precious stones in my textural work; connecting science and nature.

I am so honored to have my artwork included in this gorgeous invitation to the fete of the season; The Houston Symphony Vienna Fete Imperiale 2024!
Thank you, Tammie Anne Johnson, for your brilliant concept, and for asking me to be a part of it all.
For several years I took part in the Dia de Muertos Retablo Art Show. Here is a piece I did around 2018.
This Tryptic Retablo was done around 2017. I came up with the idea in a dream.
Several years ago I took part in a group exhibit where we were asked to create artwork around a prompt; mine was, "Never Change. Just Become." This tryptic showing the stages of the Monarch Butterfly was my take on this.
Patti paints live for Houston charities, raising more than $250,000 since 2015! Thank you Houston.
The Houston Club welcomes Renowned Artist Patti Lennon-Potter's newest collection, "Blue No More."
The world premiere of, "Blue No More," marks an exciting new direction for my art. Using new and up-cycled materials I'm attempting to create a connection, within ourselves and between each other, that acknowledges the transient, yet fully integrated, nature of human existence.
